Calgary police say the only infractions stemming from a gathering of motorcycle gang members over the weekend was a handful of traffic and parking tickets, but the increased presence did require officers to play bouncer at a number of establishments.

Calgary Police Service (CPS) had warned the public last week of aย planned gathering of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (HAMC)ย happening in Calgary from Friday to Sunday.

Residents were told to expect an increased police presence throughout the city as officers monitored the activities of those attending the gathering to ensure they were following the law, including the Traffic Safety Act.

CPS say hundreds of Hells Angels members were in the city over the weekend. Officers were called to a number of businesses who grew concerned about the presence of members.
