A Pontiac man with a lengthy criminal history will live the rest of his life in prison based on his sentencing Wednesday of at least 70 years incarceration for a fatal shooting and related crimes outside a motorcycle club last year.

At a hearing in Oakland County Circuit Court, Judge Mary Ellen Brennan sentenced Malcolm Robert Boykin, 56, to 60-90 years behind bars for the second-degree murder of Charlie Isaac Odneal II, who died March 6, 2024 in an area hospital the day after he was gunned down outside the Night Riders Motorcycle Club in Pontiac. Boykin and Odneal were reportedly acquaintances.

SECOND STORY

Bikers had travelled from Wales, Northern Ireland, Amsterdam, Switzerland, Belgium, Madrid and even the Canary Islands to pay tribute to popular Chris.

They joined his wife Stacey and daughters Harlo-Rose, 12, and Haylan, seven, to celebrate Chris, described by one pal as having a smile that โ€œlit up the roomโ€, and who had a generous nature that โ€œknew no boundsโ€.

More than 1000 riders created a procession to accompany Chris on his final journey to South Shields Crematorium.

The Hells Angels wore sashes on their signature leather vests bearing Chrisโ€™ nickname Browny. The large turnout meant traffic was halted through the Tyne Tunnel to allow the procession to pass through.

One man from Northampton said: โ€œThis is what we doโ€.
