Basi, 40, was a member of the Haney chapter of the B.C. Hells Angel, though last year he moved to Ontario to join the Nomads chapter there. He splits his time between the two provinces, according to sources.
The B.C. court online database shows that Basi is accused of making threats to cause death or bodily harm on March 25 in Surrey.
The charge was sworn against him on April 18 and he was arrested a day later while driving a Ford Focus in Cloverdale. He was ordered released on bail on April 19 with a followup court appearance scheduled for May 14.

EVELETH, Minn. (Northern News Now) โ Charges have been dismissed against the four men who were charged in connection to a kidnapping and assault case that allegedly involved members of Evelethโs Hells Angels.
Theย incident happened in November 2023, when a man told police that members of the Hells Angels had beaten him at a home in Eveleth and kidnapped him.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at that same home.
Four men were charged in connection to the case: Hells Angels President Jerand French, prospective members Paul Debelak and Jake Novaczyk, and Eric Newman. All four men were charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, and assault. Debelak and Newman were also facing criminal sexual assault charges.
