Full throttle saloon and distillery, branson, MO review

Holy moly—excellent food! Debbie and I stopped at Full Throttle Distillery in downtown Branson, Missouri, during our trip to the National H.O.G. Rally and Full Throttle Bike Week. We ended up eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. That is not a typo. Apparently, we took the “eat” part of Ride to Eat very seriously.

This stop belongs in our Ride to Eat, Eat to Ride motorcycle food destinations series, where finding a good meal is a perfectly reasonable excuse to ride somewhere.

Quick ride details

  • Destination: Full Throttle Distillery in Branson, 116 E. Main Street, Branson, Missouri.
  • Reason to ride: We were in town for the National H.O.G. Rally and Full Throttle Branson Bike Week.
  • Food verdict: Excellent food, spectacular smoked meat, and portions bigger than we expected.
  • Atmosphere: Motorcycle and moonshine-distillery themed—right up our alley.
  • My advice: Bring an appetite. Consider sharing a meal.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Full Throttle

Full Throttle was directly across from our hotel, which made it an easy breakfast stop. We ate breakfast there multiple times, then worked lunch and dinner into the trip, too. Convenient location? Absolutely. A test of our willpower? Apparently not much of one.

The smoked meat deserves an award

The smoked meat was spectacular. Whoever was running that smoker deserves some kind of award—or at least a bonus. It was that good.

One caveat: the meals were larger than we expected. Debbie and I shared several meals, and when I ordered just for myself, I often left a good bit of food on the plate. My appetite wrote a check my stomach could not cash.

If you are planning a motorcycle food stop in Branson, that is my big takeaway: come hungry, and do not assume you each need a separate meal.

Overall thoughts: would I ride to eat here again?

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Full Throttle Saloon and Distillery gets a big thumbs-up from me as a Branson motorcycle ride to eat stop.

We also saw Michael Ballard and Jesse James Dupree of Jackyl at the restaurant. That was a nice bonus, but the smoked meat did not need a celebrity endorsement. It could carry the show all by itself.

If you are in Branson, I recommend giving Full Throttle a try. Bring your appetite—and maybe someone willing to split a meal.
